Using the remainder of garden tomatoes in a Burrata Caprese salad.
An Italian cheese, Burrata is made up of an outer layer of fresh mozzarella filled with shreds of mozzarella soaked in cream. It is quite fragile, handle with care. See below a photo of the Buratta cut, so you can see the inside.
To make the Caprese salad, arrange a layer of tomatoes and basil.
Then place Burrata cheese on top; add a little crushed black pepper, olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. I served this on my new Williams Sonoma himalayan salt plate for a little added seasoning and pretty presentation.
