Elderflower liqueur has a sweet and slightly floral taste, making it the perfect mixer for summer and autumn cocktails. As pretty as it is flavorful, the Waterloo Sunset is suitable for outdoor dinner parties as well as brunches.
The recipe is as follows:
- 2 ounces gin
- 1 ounce elderflower liqueur (St Germain)
- 2 ounces brut champagne
- 1/4 ounce Chambord
- raspberries for garnish
Mix gin and elderflower liqueur in ice shaker, then strain into long stemmed glass. Next, add the champagne.
Slowly with a upside down spoon (bar spoon technique) add the Chambord. The drink should show layers; see photos below.
Present with raspberries and enjoy!
